MINUTES OF the PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
held on Thursday 15th July 2021
1. Welcome & Introductions
The meeting commenced at 19.34
The Chair (HWS) welcomed those present – Cllr Richard Clark (RC), Cllr Julie Watson Grant (JWG), Cllr Lucy Robb (LR), Cllr Anne Booth (AB) and Cllr Cath Lack (CL). 1 member of the public also joined the meeting.
Apologies – PCSO; Cllr Sturrock;
2. Declarations of Interest - There were no declarations of interest.
3. Public Questions
• Peter – footpath next to 124 Churchfields needs cutting
• Some residents are cutting hedges/grass and throwing it onto the footpath
• Questions about new roof and doors on the SKDC property in Church Lane – was advised to contact Cllr J Hansen
4. Notes of 20th May 2021 Meeting
The notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 20th May 2021 were approved as the minutes.
5. Matters Arising
There were no matters arising that will not be covered on the Agenda later in the meeting.
6. Updates from SKDC/LCC
There were no updates available from SKDC or LCC.
7. Playing Field
It was noted:
• CCTV – will be installed soon. 4 HD cameras do we need cages to protect them
• Signs to be ordered
8. Other Village Matters
It was noted:
• Skip to be ordered for early September instead of October. Big one again
• Phone box has been purchased and will become the responsibility of the PC; to be used as a seed bank, book share etc
9. Planning
• 8 Bourne Road – approved
• 8 Market Place – listed building changes
• 8 West Street (Workhouse) – New door and frame approved
• 13 Spring Lane – extension approved
10. Finance
It was noted:
• All payments and receipts were reviewed.
It was agreed:
• All payments were approved.
• Internal Auditor needed – Clerk to approach a couple of recommended individuals
11. Correspondence
• Traffic calming – a member of the public had raised some questions about traffic calming on West Street. These were issues that have been previously identified and addressed. Parishioner has been responded to.
12. Date of Next Meeting
The date of the next meeting was confirmed as Thursday 16th September 2021 at 7.30pm in Folkingham Village Hall. Members of the public may submit any questions in advance and are welcome to join the meeting – details will be posted on the website in advance of the meeting.
